Agar can be used for multiple reasons when it comes to mycology. We can test our genetics on agar to confirm if they are clean or contaminated. We can grow our mushroom samples out on agar, and perform agar transfers to keep the genetics stable over a period time. We can germinate new species with agar and bring them to life.
Our agar recipe has proven to show how well our mycelium grows on our agar media. Over the last 2 years of constantly trying different recipes, we have finally found our recipe of choice.

HOW DO WE PACK OUR PLATES BEFORE WE SHIP ?
Each plate is individual wrapped with grafting tape in front of our commercial grade laminar flow hood. We will stack the plates in 10’s, place heat shrink wrap around the plates and heat shrink the wrap to appropriate fitting. Then we bubble wrap the plates for a extra layer of cushion/protection and heat seal it all together. We do this to ensure no contamination can enter the plates and too protect them from being damaged during shipment.
